About Iraq--the aftermath

Those who criticize our handling of the post-war period strike me as "unrealistic" at best
, but in my opinion most of the critics have another agenda.  I believe most are trying to discredit the war effort in general and George W Bush in particular for political purposes.

It should be obvious to anyone that you cannot take over a country with 25 million people and expect McDonalds and Wal Mart to open the following weekend. 
Of course our side made mistakes, and tragically some people died because of it.  But one must keep it in perspective! This conflict as a whole has had far fewer casualties, on both sides, military and civilian, than any other conflict of comparable size in human history!
